Who governs the infrastructure of the internet? And how can activists and civil society organizations have a voice in the governance process?
In the 21st century, technology policy is fundamentally global. MDF is committed to engaging and building the capacity of civil society networks and leaders around the world, with an emphasis on underrepresented people and regions. MDF delegations to international events like NETmundial and the Internet Governance Forum have helped activists, funders, and policymakers engage with their colleagues around the world, while our grantees work with governments and companies to establish policies based on inclusion and digital human rights.
